New Delhi: During the second quarter of FY25, IT firm Wipro announced a 21.2 pc  rise in its combined net income to Rs. 3,208.8 crore. A profit of Rs 2,646.3 crore was recorded in the previous year. In the latest quarter, the operational revenue was Rs 22,301.6 crore, showing a decrease of 0.95 per cent compared to Rs 22,515.9 crore in Q2 FY24. The CEO and Managing Director of Wipro, Srini Pallia, stated that strong execution in Q2 helped the Bengaluru-based company achieve its revenue, bookings, and margin growth targets.

"We experienced growth in three of four markets, including BFSI, consumer, technology, and communications sectors," he stated. Pallia stated that the company plans to keep investing in developing a "robust AI-driven Wipro".

The company's board has authorized a 1:1 bonus share - where eligible equity shareholders will receive one equity share with a face value of Rs 2 for each fully paid-up equity share they currently hold, including ADS holders, as of the record date. Wipro's shares closed at Rs 528.80 each on the BSE on Thursday, showing a decrease of 0.65 pc from the previous day
