A village, situated between the Arunachal and Assam border, is a small settlement with 54 families, including 24 borough families, nestled near a hillside and surrounded by other borough villages. To reach it, visitors travel from Tesco to Palipara, then Chadwar, and finally cross a river to the village. While talking to the proprietor DwisaGrongani Erica Megam she said the Before the festival, which takes place in August, guests began arriving, including international visitors like a Turkish guest who, along with the Mohan team, visited from West Bengal. Since then, approximately 50 to 60 international guests have visited.

Some, including patrons from an ICSE school in Balipara, faced challenges due to the village’s basic amenities and communication barriers. Revenue generated from guest stays before the festival was around 50-60k, with festival-related earnings exceeding 1.5k.

This revenue has inspired plans to develop homestay options, aimed at benefiting the entire village rather than just one individual. Collaborative efforts with local authorities, including the block office and the DC of Sonitpur, are underway to promote tourism and improve infrastructure, ensuring the village remains welcoming and accessible for future visitors.
