Upcoming HGC national workshop to discuss on IPR, academic ethics, innovation for entrepreneurship and development

Guwahati: The Handique Girls’ College is organising a one week National Workshop on intellectual property rights, academic ethics, and innovation for entrepreneurship Development (NWIPR-2023) jointly with Patent Information Centre, Assam Science and Technology and Environment Council from November 6 2023 to  November 10, 2023. 

As a part of the programme, there will be a series of intensive lectures by leading experts in various topics including fundamentals of IPR,  copyright and geographical indicators , patents, trademarks, and industrial design, fundamentals of technology transfer,  Indian scenario on IPR, filing  and drafting  a patent, securing funding for research , technicalities of writing a research paper, avoiding plagiarism, acquiring  funding for start-ups,  design, thinking, innovation and start-up survival etc. 

Several distinguished speakers of national repute including Prof Sanjib Paul, scientist and IPR chair, CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad; Prof. Prafulla Hatte, dean research and development, MIT Academy of Engineering , Pune; Prof. H Purushutham, IPR Chair Professor, Andhra University; Prof. Bhagirathi Panda, NEHU; Padmasri Uddhab Bharali, leading innovator and entrepreneur; Dr Madhurya Thakur, deputy controller of patent and  design, patent India, Kolkata; Prof. Pritam Deb, IPR Chair Professor, Tezpur University; Dr, Anjumai Talukdar, women scientist C IPR, Siliguri;  Dr. Swapnil Sinha, CEO, BioNEST, IIT Guwahati and Dr. Jaideep Baruah, director, ASTEC will attend the workshop as resource persons.
