Union Budget 2025-2026: Rs 500 Crores Allocated For Three New Centres For Artificial Intelligence

Guwahati: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that the government will set up three centres of excellence in Artificial Intelligence to boost India's technological capabilities under the Education Budget 2025. The highlight of the announcement was the government's allocation of Rs 500 Crore to strengthen India's educational infrastructure.

This year's budget announcement aligns with the government's ongoing push to enhance the accessibility and quality of higher education while preparing the nation for an evolving technological landscape. Along with the three new AI centres, Sitharaman also announced that the number of seats for both the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and medical colleges will be increased.
