Blinkit Arrives In Guwahati: After Zoo Road Warehouse, Another Opens At Chandmari To Meet Rising Demand

Guwahati: India's largest and most convenient hyper-local delivery service, Blinkit, is now available in Guwahati. After the launch of its debut warehouse at Zoo Road on January 22nd, the company has opened another warehouse at Chandmari to cater to the increasing demand for quick commerce in the city.

“We have observed significant demand in Guwahati since the launch. The response from customers has been overwhelming, and we see a strong preference for online grocery shopping. Opening another warehouse in the city makes perfect sense to ensure faster deliveries and an even better service experience for our users,” Guwahati City Head of Blinkit Manash Bhuyan told Business North East (BNE), sharing insights into the company's expansion strategy. 

With the new warehouse in Chandmari, Blinkit aims to streamline its delivery operations and reduce delivery time for customers across Guwahati. As of now, the company employs close to 150 personnel, and the expansion is expected to generate more employment opportunities in the region.

“The promising time to deliver the products to doorstep is 10 mins though due to traffic congestion, it might take additional time,” Bhuyan further stated during the BNE interview. 

Blinkit offers a wide range of products, including fresh fruits and vegetables, ice creams, frozen food items, everyday groceries, personal care essentials, and even electronic items. The platform’s seamless user interface allows customers to place orders via mobile apps or web browsers, ensuring a hassle-free shopping experience with quick doorstep delivery.
