TP Parivart to set up 70 MW solar project for Tata Steel

New Delhi: Tata Power announced on Thursday that its subsidiary TP Parivart has signed an agreement to establish a 70 MW solar project for Tata Steel in Akola, Maharashtra.

TP Parivart Ltd has entered into a power delivery contract with Tata Steel, a prominent steel manufacturing company in the country, for a 70 MW group captive solar power plant in Akola, Maharashtra, as mentioned in a BSE filing.

It was stated in the filing that the project is anticipated to produce 154 million units (MUs) of power each year and cut down carbon emissions by 1,15,000 tonnes. TP Parivart Ltd is a branch of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), which in turn is a division of Tata Power.
