Tejaswini Ideathon for Women Entrepreneurs: A chance to turn dream into reality

Guwahati: Women entrepreneurs from Assam now have an excellent platform to give wings to their dreams in the form of 'Tejaswini', an ideathon initiated by the Women's Cell, Industries & Commerce, of the state government and North Eastern Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation (NEHHDC).

Tejaswini is inviting applications from all women aged 18-50 to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit and innovation. It is open to students, homemakers, entrepreneurs who have been in business for upto years, and working professionals. And big cash prizes are to be won!

The idea that walks away with the first prize gets a whopping Rs 1.5 lakh. At the same time, the 1st runner-up will receive Rs 1 lakh, and the 2nd runner-up will receive Rs 75,000. Cash prizes will also be handed out to the best student ideas (Rs 25,000 each), women in technology (Rs 50,000), and an 'innovative homemaker idea' (Rs 50,000).

What is more, the top 50 ideas will also receive expert guidance, which is sure to help them hone and perfect their entrepreneurship skills in the long run. The ideathon is set to explore several key sectors of the state, including handicraft and handloom, health and wellness, IT & ITES, agri, allied and food processing, leisure, tourism, hospitality, and green and sustainable enterprises.
