Guwahati: Entrepreneurs of Assam start up will now get one year free licensing from Tally Solutions Private Limited as part of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the incubation system.
The partnership is set to recover the competences of emerging entrepreneurs across the region by contributing them access to crucial tools and training for scaling their schemes.
In an exclusive interaction with Business North East (BNE), Omkar Dinesh Sardessai, Head of Brand and Communications at Tally Solutions, shared insights into the initiative, the broader vision of the partnership, and the support agenda for potential entrepreneurs in Assam.
Empowering Entrepreneurs Through Technology
Speaking about the collaboration, Sardessai noted, “Today’s event was a part of our ongoing engagement with Assam Start Up, under the framework of our MoU. The focus of the session was to align with Tally’s long-standing vision of empowering entrepreneurs across the country, and we tailored our session around effective marketing strategies that startups can leverage to scale operations and drive rapid business growth.”
He further emphasized the enthusiasm and potential evident in the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. “It was great to interact with such a vibrant startup community here in Assam. The energy and curiosity among founders is truly encouraging.”
One year free rental license
As part of this initiative, Tally Solutions is proposing a one-year free rental license of its flagship product to startups listed under DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade).
“This offering allows early-stage startups to access industry-leading business software at zero cost,” Sardessai said. “The product is user-friendly and intuitive, designed in a way that enables even first-time users to understand and operate it with ease. And if anyone needs assistance, our team is always available to support them.”
Inclusivity for Non-English Speaking Founders
Speaking concerns about the convenience of the software for entrepreneurs not fluent in English, Sardessai assured that language will not be a barrier. “The interface is extremely simple and adapts to the user’s workflow and business processes. One of the core reasons Tally has been around for over 35 years is precisely because of this flexibility—it aligns with how businesses actually operate, rather than imposing a rigid structure.”
He continued, “Tally’s strength lies in its customisability and intuitive design, which ensures that even those with limited technical knowledge or language barriers can use the product efficiently.”

The partnership between Assam Start Up and Tally Solutions marks an important step in linking the digital divide for small and medium enterprises in the Northeast region. By providing admission to tools that are both robust and friendly, this initiative is likely to back implicitly to the formalisation and digital alteration of local businesses.
As Assam lasts to build a strong startup culture, such partnerships will play a vital role in safeguarding entrepreneurs are not just inspired but also armed with the right tools and support to prosper.
