Guwahati: Suranjana Dutta, a native of Assam, has been appointed as the new Chief General Manager (CGM) of the State Bank of India (SBI).
Prior to this role, she served as the general manager at SBI’s Northeast Circle and was stationed at the local head office in Guwahati.
Dutta began her career with SBI as a probationary officer in 1991 and has gained experience in various banking sectors, including human resources and international banking.
Her appointment as CGM is significant as she is the first woman bank officer from Assam to hold this position in SBI. This achievement highlights her professional expertise and dedication to the banking industry.
Dutta hails from Ambikagiri Nagar area in Guwahati.
