Skill Training centres launched and Skill Yatra flagged of by CM of Assam

Guwahati: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma  inaugurated training centres to train 5750 numbers of candidates and other schemes under Assam Skill Development Mission and flagged off Skill Yatra at the Janata Bhawan, Dispur on September 8.

The event was attended by Jayanta Mallahbaruah. Minister of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurhsip Department, Government of Assam, Paban Kumar Borthakur, IAS, Chief Secretary, Assam, Dr B Kalyan Chakravarty, IAS, Principal Secretary, SEED, Government of Assam, Ankur Jain, IPS, Managing Director, Assam Skill Development Mission, senior government officials of various departments of Government of Assam.

The event was virtually attended by 60 training centres across Assam in various districts where public representatives, district administration, officials and prospective students of skill training programmes under the Assam Skill Development Mission. 

The Assam Skill Development Mission, the nodal agency to implement various skill training programme for the youth of the state has incorporated changes in the structure of skilling and has taken many new initiatives for the benefit of the youth of the state.

The important highlights of the day included indigenous skill Training by Gurus, the release of stipend to 500 Trainers under JJM-ASDM . 

Inauguration of Training Centre of Schwing Stetter was also conducted.

Speaking to Business Northeast Jayanta Mallabaruah said that all these efforts will empower the learners for self-employment. They can be self-dependent without being just a job seeker.
