Agartala: Speculation arises over possible arrival of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Agartala following her resignation on Sunday.
Following the resignation of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday, there has been speculation about her potential arrival in Agartala.

In response, the Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura and Assam has tightened security along the international border and issued alerts at airports in both states.

"We have heard about the resignation of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. However, we have not yet received any information regarding her landing at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala. But we have been alerted," said an official from the Airport Authority at MBB Airport.

Sources from the BSF have indicated that security has been intensified along the international border in Tripura, which shares an 856 km long border with Bangladesh.

"We are keeping a close eye on the border as the situation in Bangladesh is not stable. Following the resignation of the Bangladesh Prime Minister, we have beefed up our security along the international boundary to prevent any kind of infiltration," said a BSF official.

Meanwhile, officials at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala stated that they have not received any information regarding the arrival of the Bangladesh Prime Minister and confirmed that she has not yet arrived.

In Assam, officials mentioned that the central government would take all necessary steps and provide directives to the Assam government. "The state government will comply with the Centre's directions," said an official from the Assam government.
