Royal Global University hosts 'Deeksharambh' program to greet thousands of new students

Guwahati: The Assam Royal Global University organized its 'Deeksharambh' Student Induction Program for the incoming batch of the Academic Year 2024-2025. Shri Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Higher Education and Tourism, Government of Nagaland, was the Chief Guest, while Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta, Designated Vice Chancellor of Gauhati University, was the Guest of Honour at the event. The distinguished guests, along with Dr. A.K. Pansari, Chancellor, and Shri A.K. Modi, Pro Chancellor, greeted the incoming students.

Shri Along motivated the students to utilize their time in university wisely, advising them to develop their skills, acknowledge their strengths and weaknesses, and plan for their futures. He emphasized the numerous resources and welcoming atmosphere at the university, sharing humorous stories from his time as a student to motivate and amuse the audience. He highlighted the significance of balancing academic endeavors with savoring the college experience.

Professor (Doctor) Nani Gopal Mahanta emphasized that knowledge is not limited to the classroom but can be found across the university and society. He encouraged students to follow their passions when choosing courses, stressing the significance of committing to their decisions and growing from failures. Professor (Doctor) Mahanta also emphasized the prospects brought by the introduction of NEP 2020, showing optimism for a prosperous and bright future nation.

Dr. A.K. Pansari, Chancellor of The Assam Royal Global University, stressed the significance of inclusiveness and a welcoming attitude. He motivated students to connect with their inner being and their feeling of responsibility.

Dr. Pansari emphasized the importance of academics in constructing a prosperous society, saying that it is the responsibility of the younger generation to create a progressive nation where opportunities are equally available to all. He encouraged students to be ready to contribute to their homeland and wished them success in their future endeavors.

Professor (Doctor) Alak K. Buragohain, Interim Vice Chancellor and Chairperson-Academics, greeted the new members and urged them to identify the courses that align with their interests and aspirations.

Many prominent figures  in Indian society such as Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita, Former General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Command in the Indian Army; Maj. Gen. Rajesh Kumar Jha, Director Personnel at North Eastern Electric Power Corporation; Dr. Partha Sarathi Mahanta, IGP in Assam Police; Ms. Chaitali Panmei, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in the North Eastern Region; and Adv. Angshuman Bora, Advocate at Gauhati High Court where present in the event.
