The District Transport Office (DTO) of Kamrup has launched a Driving and Road Safety Education program for students under the Pragyan Bharati scheme. DTO officer Gautam Das announced the initiative, highlighting its importance in educating students on safe driving practices.
Eligible students will also be provided with learner and driving licenses upon completion of the program. In addition to the educational initiative, the DTO has proposed a new color-coding system for city buses in Guwahati. Gautam Das explained that this change aims to make it easier for passengers to identify the correct bus routes. The introduction of color-coded buses will help alleviate confusion among the public and improve the overall transportation experience.
