Plutus Wealth sells stake in 2 entities for Rs 298 cr

New Delhi: On Thursday, Plutus Wealth Management sold shares in two companies, Ami Organics and Restaurant Brands Asia, for Rs 298 crore through open market transactions. SBI Mutual Fund and HDFC MF invested in the companies. As per the bulk deal information on the BSE, Plutus Wealth Management sold 1.44 crore shares, representing a 2.89 pc ownership in Restaurants Brands Asia (RBA).

In addition, Plutus Wealth sold 10 lakh shares, equivalent to a 2.44 percent stake in Ami Organics. The stocks were sold within the price bracket of Rs 113-1,350 per share, resulting in a total transaction value of Rs 297.72 crore. Plutus Wealth had a 6.58 per cent ownership in Restaurant Brands Asia and a 4.06 per cent stake in Ami Organics, according to BSE data at the end of the June quarter.

At the same time, SBI Mutual Fund (MF) bought 11.62 lakh shares equivalent to a 2.8 percent ownership in Ami Organics. The stocks were bought at a mean cost of Rs 1,350. This brought the deal worth to Rs 156.90 crore. Information about the other vendors of Ami Organics stocks could not be verified. Furthermore, HDFC MF acquired over 1.24 crore shares, representing a 2.5 per cent ownership in RBA.

The stocks were sold for an average of Rs 113, resulting in a total deal value of Rs 140.53 crore. It was not possible to identify any other purchasers of RBA's shares. RBA's shares increased by 2.68 pc to reach Rs 110.90 each on the BSE, while Ami Organics' stock went up by 1.04 pc to finish at Rs 1,350 each.
