Guwahati: Assam's Handloom and Textiles minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma distributed 'No-Dues Certificates' to 225 women beneficiaries in Baksa district under the Microfinance Incentive and Relief Scheme on December 14. The event took place at Mushalpur HS School playground. Financial aid was granted to eight flood-affected families, while 97 women beneficiaries received assistance through the Seed Capital Scheme.
Addressing the audience, Urkhao Gwra Brahma lauded the 12 Days of Development initiative, led by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, underscoring its significance in boosting the state’s development.

Highlighting the importance of the Microfinance Incentive and Relief Scheme, the Minister emphasized that the issuance of a 'No-Dues Certificate' would enable women beneficiaries to secure bank loans, fostering economic independence and growth.

"Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the State Government remains committed to launching welfare schemes that uplift the lives of the people of Assam," he said while highlighting the flagship initiative Orunudoi, as an example of its welfare-driven approach.
