OIL starts efficient & state-of-the-art power plant at Duliajan

Duliajan: Oil India Limited (OIL) has inaugurated a 3x10 MW gas engine generator-based power plant here on the occasion of 64th year of foundation of the second largest crude oil and natural gas producer and transporter.

Speaking at the event, Dr Ranjit Rath, CMD OIL congratulated the project team for “stupendous work and setting the trend of early project completion”.

Equipped with a continuous emission monitoring system, a real-time gas analysing and auto tuning, state-of-the-art automation system and advanced plant protection, this power plant with engines of lean burn technology has higher open cycle efficiency leading to reduction in gas consumption by 28.07%.

“This 3x10 MW GEG power plant, all ready to take up the legacy of dedicated service in generation of quality power for OIL’s E&P business and establishments is aptly aligned to Government of India’s net zero goals with its lower carbon footprints,” an OIL official told Business North East.
