Mumbai: Vodafone Idea (Vi), one of India's leading telecom operators, has introduced a new offer named the 'Vi Guarantee Programme', providing 130GB of complementary data to its 4G and 5G smartphone users from May 25 to June 14.
To qualify for this offer, subscribers must possess either a new 4G handset or a 5G smartphone, Avneesh Khosla, the chief marketing officer at Vodafone Idea Limited, announced. This bonus data can be accessed by users enrolled in a daily unlimited data plan valued at Rs 239 or higher and can be utilised once the user exhausts their existing data quota.
However, the offer is not available in certain states including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, North East, and Orissa. The offer is also not valid if the user changes their existing plan or switches to a postpaid plan.
Eligible customers are being encouraged to claim the guaranteed data benefit by dialling 121199 or 19999#.
"The 'Vi Guarantee' program aims to meet the escalating demand for data by ensuring users enjoy uninterrupted, high-speed internet connectivity", Khosla said. "This initiative reflects the company's dedication to providing a genuinely unlimited data experience, enabling customers to explore the internet without concerns about data limitations."
Vodafone Idea (Vi) lost 4.6 million subscribers in the third quarter of the financial year 2024 (Q3FY24) going from 219.8 million subscribers in the last quarter to 215.2 million. Although the company’s subscriber base has been on a steady decline in the past 7 quarters, it remains the third biggest network in India.
