Guwahati: National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) and IIT has signed an MoU to collaborate for research and development in the areas of civil engineering, road construction, planning and design.
The MoU was signed by Professor Parameswar K lyer, Director of IIT Guwahati, and Chanchal Kumar, Managing Director of NHIDCL, through a video conferencing session on May 25.
Currently, NHIDCL (a CPSE under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) is actively seeking and promoting innovative technologies to address the challenges and promote technological innovations in the field of construction of highways under extreme climatic and geographical conditions.
