Guwahati: The Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has decided to add additional general sitting coaches to six existing trains to accommodate more passengers during the summer rush, officials have informed.
According to the railways' spokesperson, the trains include Train no. 05636/05635 (Guwahati- Shri Ganganagar - Guwahati), Train no. 05952/05951 (New Tinsukia - SMVT Bengaluru - New Tinsukia), Train no. 15962/15961 (Dibrugarh - Howrah - Dibrugarh), Train no. 15960/15959 (Dibrugarh - Howrah - Dibrugarh), Train no. 15626/15625 (Agartala - Deoghar - Agartala), and Train no. 05628/05627 (Agartala - Guwahati - Agartala).
"The additions are expected to provide more travel capacity for passengers during the summer rush," the official said, adding that the trains will depart from Guwahati on July 3 and 7, and from Shri Ganganagar on July 7 and 8. "The additions will help to alleviate the increasing demand for train travel," the official noted.
