Nagaland Chamber of Commerce all set to host 1st NE states CCI Business Conclave in state

Dimapur: The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) is organizing the 1st Northeastern States Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Conclave from September 18 to 20 at Niathu Resort in Chumoukedima. This conclave aims to bring together key stakeholders from all eight northeastern states to discuss various business-related issues and opportunities. 

CNCCI Chairman, Dr Khekugha Muru informs that the three-day business event will feature discussions, presentations, and networking opportunities. Nagaland's Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, is the President of the Conclave. 

The conclave will feature renowned academicians from the northeastern region who will speak on various topics, along with former diplomats who have served in different parts of the country, said Muru.

The second day of the conclave will primarily focus on business sessions where stakeholders from all eight northeastern states, including Nagaland, will discuss common concerns and issues.
The closing ceremony on September 20 will have Abu Metha, Advisor to the Nagaland Chief Minister and the Investment Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), as the guest.

He said that, the idea to organize this three-day event with participation from all eight northeastern states came from CNCCI, and it was initiated with Assam's agreement. 

According to Muru, CNCCI aims to formulate an "action plan" during the conclave to benefit from each other's markets and explore potential collaborations to enhance business opportunities.

Discussions during the conclave will include the Act East policy of the Government of India, focusing on the challenges and opportunities related to infrastructure, customs, warehousing, and trade routes.

The conclave will also address the untapped tourism industry in the northeast and explore the possibility of creating a tourism circuit that can benefit all the states in the region. The rich oil and natural resources in the northeastern states will be on the agenda for discussions, including opportunities for collaboration with industries and government agencies, added Muru.

Additionally, six official delegates of Chamber of Commerce & Industries from each NE states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim, and Tripura will be present at the conclave.
