Kohima: Nagaland Advisor IPR and Soil and Water Conservation Imkong L Imchen flagged off 8 multimedia mobile vehicles at Nagaland Civil Secretariat plaza, Kohima.
The event was organized by the Directorate of Information & Public Relations, where eight District Public Relations Officers (DPROs) were handed over the new vehicles equipped with multimedia facilities.
Imchen emphasized the importance of the IPR department's field officers working together to uplift and develop the people. He urged officers to perform their duties diligently and utilize the new vehicles and facilities for the service of the people and to disseminate government activities to remote parts of the state.
Director IPR, Dzuvinuo Theunuo, stated that the department felt the need to place these multi-media mobile vehicles in districts and directorates to step up its activities in addressing the increasing requirements of information dissemination. He said, "The vehicles will cater to broadcasting awareness and educational videos, documentaries, and other PSAs. The vehicles are equipped with projectors, screens, laptops, and all-in-one sound systems for easy usage. The first phase covered eight districts, while the remaining districts will be taken up in the current year."
Development Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Justice and Law R. Ramakrishnan, secretary, information and public relations, Bhagyashree B. Banayat, and officers and staff of IPR secretariat and directorate attended the program. According to state government officials, the allotted fund was fully utilized for the purpose.
