New Delhi: MOIL Ltd, a leading manganese ore producer, has announced a significant surge in prices across various grades of manganese ore and electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD). Effective as of midnight on May 31, the price adjustments mark the company's second notable revision within a month.
Under the revised pricing structure, Ferro grades of manganese ore boasting a manganese content of 44 percent and above will witness a substantial increase of 35 percent from the prevailing prices since May 1. Ferro grades of manganese ore with a manganese content below 44 percent will see a commendable hike of 30 percent. Prices for SMGR (30 percent and 25 percent), fines, and chemical grades will also experience a corresponding upward adjustment of 30 percent.
Additionally, in line with these revisions, the basic price of electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD) will rise by Rs 1,000 per metric tonne (PMT), ascending from Rs 209,000 PMT to Rs 210,000 PMT for June.
This latest move comes as part of MOIL Ltd's proactive approach to adapt to changing market conditions and maintain sustainable growth. It follows a prior price adjustment unveiled by the company on May 1, when prices of various grades of manganese ore and EMD were increased by up to 40 percent.
