Maharastra  becomes the first state in  India to cross $500 billion economy

Mumbai: Koshyari expressed his pleasure at Maharashtra being ranked second in the country for export readiness according to the Niti Aayog. He further mentioned that Maharashtra is also ranked second in the 'Good Governance Index report 2021' by the Centre. The government's policy on electric vehicles is thorough and has already begun implementation in the state. The governor noted that EV registration in Maharashtra has increased by 157% compared to last year.

He mentioned that the state government will also offer discounts in property tax to residents and housing communities that install EV charging stations. The reduction in VAT on CNG from 13.5% to 3% aims to encourage the utilization of eco-friendly natural gas. The governor stated that this will offer solace to the residents.                                

The government plans to build a bulk drug park in Raigad district along the Delhi-Mumbai corridor spanning 2,500 acres, as announced by him.

In addition, it was mentioned that a medical equipment park is also set to be developed in Auric Smart City in Aurangabad, covering 350 acres of land. He mentioned that the government is encouraging the use of waterways for passengers to ease congestion on roads and railways. A water taxi service from Belapur in Navi Mumbai to Mumbai, Elephanta, and JNPT has also been introduced.

The government has made several choices to encourage air services. Departures are happening from Sindhudurg (Chipi), Nanded, Gondia, Jalgaon, Kolhapur, and Nashik airports. He mentioned that over 1 million passengers had flown from Shirdi airport by the end of December 2021.Koshyari stated that the government is expediting the development of Metro projects to enhance Mumbai's public transportation system. He stated that the Mumbai Metro line 2A and 7 have been put into operation while work on 14 other Metro projects is progressing quickly.

Koshyari also pointed out that important projects such as the renovation of BDD Chawls and the coastal road in Mumbai, as well as the capacity enhancement of Mumbai-Pune expressway and others, are now picking up speed.

He mentioned that the construction of the Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg is almost finished and will be partially open for transportation soon.

He informed that up to now, 475,000 houses have been given in rural regions through the Maha Aawas scheme.
He stated that the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company plans to establish solar power projects of 187 and 390 MW in order to enhance non-conventional power generation.He mentioned that 99,852 solar agriculture pumps have been set up under the Chief Minister Solar Agriculture Pump scheme, almost reaching the target of one lakh.

The governor added that 43 cities in Amrit have joined the 'race to zero' to become carbon neutral.He mentioned that the state government is in contact with the Centre regarding granting classical language status to Marathi as soon as possible. The state is focusing on preserving forts, fortresses, and ancient temples. The government has recently granted land in Navi Mumbai for building the Venkateshwara temple by Tirumala Tirupati Devsthanam, as stated.

In addition to efforts to conserve tigers in the state, my government is also focusing on establishing new conservation reserves and biodiversity heritage sites in Maharashtra. He mentioned that, in addition to the green vegetation in the state, there has been an increase in mangrove forests.
