Mumbai: Reliance Jio, one of India's leading telecom providers, is currently grappling with a widespread service outage affecting users nationwide. The outage has left a significant number of users unable to access key applications such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and Google.
According to data sourced from Down Detector, 54 percent of the complaints are related to issues with mobile internet connectivity. Additionally, 38 percent of users have reported disruptions in the Jio Fiber service, impacting their ability to access high-speed internet. Meanwhile, 7 percent of subscribers are facing difficulties with mobile networks.
One of the major grievances highlighted by affected users is the unresponsiveness of Jio's customer care services. Numerous customers have expressed frustration over long wait times and abrupt disconnections when attempting to contact support. One user lamented, "Internet speed has plummeted drastically, and when I tried to talk to customer support, they simply ended the call."
Reliance Jio has yet to issue an official statement addressing the cause and expected resolution time. Users are advised to monitor official channels for updates on the ongoing service disruptions.
