New Delhi: Google and Nvidia, two big technology companies, plan to increase their involvement in India by emphasizing the use of artificial intelligence technology in the country, according to top officials who met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang talked about how the Prime Minister of India has always shown a strong interest in understanding artificial intelligence, its capabilities, and the potential it holds for the country. "I have had numerous enjoyable meetings with the Prime Minister. Huang said he is an amazing student who always shows a keen interest in learning about technology, artificial intelligence, India's potential, opportunities, and impact on society and industry every time they meet".
It is believed that Huang's Nvidia holds around 88 percent of the market share in the highly sought-after GPU segment for AI tasks globally. He stated that India has some of the best computer scientists in the world, which presents a wonderful opportunity. Artificial Intelligence is a recently established sector, a fresh manufacturing domain. I am excited to collaborate closely with India to make it happen. We have numerous collaborations with India. "We are assisting India in acquiring our most cutting-edge technologies," Huang stated. Nvidia has collaborated with Yotta Data Services to increase its GPU fleet to 32,768 units by the end of 2025.
The Indian diaspora has long served as a crucial bridge between Bharat (India) and America, embodying values that resonate deeply across cultures. The Prime Minister acknowledges this community as Bharat’s "Rashtradoot" (nation’s emissaries), highlighting their significant contributions to various sectors, including healthcare, technology, and sports. Their commitment and talent have not only elevated their status in America but have also enhanced Bharat’s global image. As Bharat celebrates its third consecutive election victory, it stands out as one of the youngest nations filled with energy and aspirations. The recent success of Indian teams at the Chess Olympiad, winning gold in both men’s and women’s categories for the first time in nearly a century, highlights the nation’s rising ambitions. This achievement underscores Bharat’s impressive journey from the 10th to the 5th largest economy, with goals to become the third largest soon.
The Prime Minister emphasizes Bharat’s transformation into a land of opportunities, having lifted 25 crore people out of poverty through innovative governance and inclusive initiatives. Over 500 million citizens now have banking access, and millions benefit from improved healthcare, clean cooking gas, and sanitation. The government’s commitment to women’s empowerment is evident, with many housing projects and bank accounts registered in women’s names.
In technology, Bharat is advancing rapidly, particularly in green energy, with ambitious goals to reduce carbon emissions while creating green jobs. The revival of Nalanda University and the establishment of new educational institutions reflect Bharat's aim to be a global hub for education. As ties with the U.S. strengthen, the Prime Minister calls on the diaspora to help foster peace and prosperity for both nations.
