Guwahati: Guwahati gets another startup cell fostering potential entrepreneurs. Indian Bank in its proactive step towards supporting and fostering the startup ecosystem in India has established its startup cell in Guwahati on its 117th Foundation Day. These startup cells aim to provide specialised banking products and services to cater to the unique needs of startups.

The bank’s initiative involves offering tailor-made banking solutions such as payment gateways, corporate credit cards, and credit facilities, in addition to its existing range of products, designed especially for startups.

The bank has also launched the startup cells in nine other cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Chennai, New Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kanpur and Mumbai.

“The launch of the startup cells is a major milestone in Indian Bank's journey to support the growth of the startup ecosystem in India,” said Indian Bank MD and CEO S L Jain.

The startup cell branches will have dedicated relationship managers, who would partner with them and build lifecycle engagement with the start-ups.

Indian Bank said it has also launched ‘IND SPRINGBOARD’ -- a customised loan product for startups to address their unique financial challenges.
