Guwahati: The Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) has signed three Hook-up Agreements with the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) on July 11.
The agreements aim to connect ONGC's fields, specifically the Jorhat, Silchar, and Tripura assets, with the Northeast Gas Grid (NEGG) to facilitate the transportation of natural gas from these ONGC assets to consumers.
Through these hook-up agreements, ONGC will be able to deliver specific quantities of natural gas from each asset. The Jorhat Asset will deliver 1.85 lakh Standard Cubic Meters per Day (SCMD), the Silchar Asset will deliver 82,500 SCMD, and the Tripura Asset will deliver 7 lakh SCMD.
This development is a significant step towards the efficient transportation of natural gas from ONGC fields to consumers in the region.
IGGL's Director Sanjay Kumar, CEO Ajit Kumar Thakur and ONGC Asset Managers Bipul Gohain, Krishna Kumar and SK Dwivedi were present during the signing of the agreement.
