Hengerabari LP School is gearing up for its Golden Jubilee celebration on October 26th and 27th. Around Rs 12 lakhs has been sanctioned for the event, which is primarily funded by its alumni, many of whom are now successful entrepreneurs, government employees, and well-established professionals in various places in Assam and other parts of India.
It has been learned that approximately Rs. 3 to 4 lakhs has been allocated for repair and colorful renovations of the school's infrastructure. Dispur Polyclinic & Nursing Home, Nemcare Hospital, and several esteemed builders have been generous to donate this amount.
The celebration will also feature various cultural events within the school, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the community. Not only the infrastructure the former students and the faculty of the school will also try to provide smart education system to the students with the help of Assam Education ministry. They said they will try to enhance a good education environment including smart class rooms, playing tools will be provided for the student.

Former students cum President Nayan Jyoti Bhuyan, working president Sanjiv Talukder, General Secretary of Ranjit Mikir, Surajit Patgiri, who were present at the event spoke to Business Northeast reporter Jyotishman Sharma and expressed, "We received our primary education at this school, and now that many of us are settled in life, we realized we hadn’t yet given back to the place that shaped us. This was our opportunity to contribute something meaningful to our school."
Moreover, the ex-students revealed that they are planning on providing scholarships to brilliant and financially backward students of Hengerabari LP School. They also expressed regret that the school couldn't celebrate its silver jubilee in 1999 due to funding and collaboration issues.
