While speaking at the event, Kataria emphasised the importance of publishing research work and clinical outcomes in peer-reviewed journals to ensure the completeness and dissemination of techniques and procedures. He expressed his desire for the technology to be made accessible to the masses. He also highlighted the need for a collaborative approach between the government and the private sector to improve healthcare services.

Dr Ashok Puranik, the Executive Director of AIIMS, Guwahati, and Prof. PK Iyer, the Officiating Director of IIT, Guwahati, stressed the importance of innovative work conducted jointly by ARIS and research scientists from institutions, such as IIT, NIPER, and AIIMS.

Prof. Subhash Khanna, the founding president of ARIS and Chief Editor of the journal, discussed the challenges of implementing robotic systems in small towns and the global difficulties in accessing this technology for both clinical use and learning purposes over the past two decades.

He also spoke about the establishment of ARIS as the first independent Asian association dedicated to the development of Robotic Surgery and its commitment to pushing the boundaries of medical innovation.

ARIS aims to provide the surgical community with advanced surgical models, comprehensive training, and support systems.
