100 stalls from across the country will be hosted at the FINER's upcoming expo in Assam
Guwahati: The Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) has unveiled plans for the inaugural North East Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicle Expo 2024 that will be held from January 19-21 at the Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati, Assam.
"The expo will provide a significant platform strategically designed to highlight and showcase the latest advancements and innovations in the field of renewable energy and electric vehicles", the FINER said in a release adding that this event will "help drive awareness, fostering collaboration, and promote growth in these crucial sectors."
Speaking about the event at a launch program in Guwahati, FINER president Bajrang Lohia said that this expo aims to showcase the immense potential of renewable energy sources and electric vehicles in propelling the region towards a "cleaner and more environmentally friendly future."
The expo will bring together manufacturers, developers, and service providers to showcase technologies, products, and services related to renewable energy and electric vehicles. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the latest innovations, ranging from solar panels to electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.
This expo will also seek to foster awareness about the importance of transitioning towards clean and sustainable energy solutions. "It educates stakeholders, including government officials, industry experts, and the general public, about the advantages and possibilities offered by renewable energy and electric vehicles in the context of the North Eastern region", stated the release. Sessions will also be held to address the complaints faced by electric vehicle owners.
Mrinal Krishna Choudhury, former director, of Assam Energy Development Agency (AEDA) in his speech stressed the importance and potential of renewable energy in the region especially in Assam.
Featuring more than 100 stalls, the expo promises to showcase cutting-edge technologies, products, and services in renewable energy and electric vehicles, providing a comprehensive display of transformative technologies, from solar panels to electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, said the FINER. Business North East has learned that the expo will have both business-to-customer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) facilities.
An accompanying conference will unite experts, industry leaders, policymakers, and enthusiasts in dynamic discussions on recent advancements, challenges, and opportunities in renewable energy and electric vehicles.
The Expo will cater to manufacturers of PV modules, inverters, materials and equipment, renewable energy developers, system integrators, service providers, EV manufacturers, and EV dealers. Over 80 exhibitors, from all over the country are expected to participate. 15 companies from Assam will also take part in the event.
