Guwahati: The Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI) recently organised a one-day event in Guwahati focused on ‘Collaborating Opportunities — Ways & Means to Scale and Speed Up Organisational Growth and Nourishing Employability & Facilitating Opportunities for Upskilling’.
The objectives of the event were to raise awareness about collaboration opportunities, contribute to building a conducive ecosystem for the construction industry, develop job roles and related content, explore partnership opportunities and address the skill development needs of students pursuing construction-related courses.
There were over 100 participants from diverse backgrounds, including skill development universities, organisations and government officials.
Additionally, CSDCI is actively engaged in a Skill Gap Study across India to analyse and map the demand and supply of labour in the construction sector.
The event highlighted the importance of collaboration and strategic partnerships in fostering the growth of the construction industry, enhancing employability, and facilitating upskilling opportunities.
