Co-District Commissioner office inaugurated in Hengrabari, Guwahati

The Co-District Commissioner Office was inaugurated in Hengrabari, Lichubagan, marking a significant initiative by the Assam government to enhance administrative accessibility. This pioneering effort aims to serve as a model for other states striving to bring governance closer to the people.

On the inauguration day , notable figures including Cabinet Minister Chandra Mohan Patwary (Minister of Environment and Forests of Assam) and East Guwahati LAC MLA Siddhartha Bhattacharya were present. Priyanshu Bharadwaj, the Co-District Commissioner, along with District Development Commissioner Parijat Bhuyan, also attended the event.

During the inauguration, the office issued its first caste certificates. The Co-District Commissioner stated, "Regardless of any district commissioner office work, senior citizen certificates, PRC certificates, caste certificates, and income certificate processes will now be easier for citizens."

This initiative promises to streamline various administrative functions, ensuring that residents can access essential services with greater convenience.
