Five new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations were inaugurated in Guwahati on August 13 in a significant move towards promoting sustainable transportation.
These stations, strategically located across different parts of the city, are expected to boost the adoption of CNG as a cleaner and more economical fuel alternative for public and private transport.
In an exclusive conversation with Business North East, Biju Deka, chief engineer of the Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC), provided insights into the ongoing operations of ASTC buses in Guwahati and highlighted the benefits of CNG as a fuel option.
