Guwahati: A buyer seller was meet was organised by India Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) Guwahati Chapter at Karimganj town on April 30.
The Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh Ruhul Amin, Assistant Commissioner of Karimganj Priyanka Yumnam, General Secretary IBCCI Amaresh Roy, Director IBCCI Azhar Alam.in the presence of all importers and exporters of the district.
A total of 55 participants took part in the event.
The President IBCCI Guwahati Chapter Aminur Rashid Choudhury Shamim informed Business Northeast that problems of traders of India was conveyed to the Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh.
The commodities sold from India that is exported to Bangladesh were Coal, Limestone, Ginger and Fresh fruits. The commodities that is imported from Bangladesh are Snacks, Beverages and Plastic products.
Since the Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh was proceeding to Sylhet for his meet with Sylhet Chamber of Commerce after his Karimganj visit, he was requested in the meeting held at Sutarkandi port to arrange a meeting with Sylhet Chamber of Commerce in the month of August/ September in Sylhet, which will be followed a similar meeting in Karimganj where the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce shall be invited.
