B. Borooah College in Guwahati has recently been accredited with an A++ grade and has been granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for a period of 10 years. This recognition falls under the UGC's "Conferment of Autonomous Status upon Colleges and Measures for Maintenance of Standards in Autonomous Colleges" regulations. Autonomous colleges are required to adhere to all the provisions set by these UGC regulations.Dr. Satyendra Nath Barman, the principal of B. Borooah College, expressed his happiness about this achievement during an interaction with the Business Northeast team.
