Guwahati: In a significant step towards developing the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) under the leadership of Pramod Boro, unveiled the BTR Community Vision Document at ITA Machkhowa in Guwahati on December 30.
BTC Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro, while addressing a press conference, talked about the vision document and the upcoming development plans for the BTR, following the inauguration.
"It has been brought to my attention that cultural initiatives like the music festival 'Oma Thaokhri' will be key attractions, emphasizing community well-being and cultural enrichment. As for the BTR’s development plans, we aim to release detailed documents by March 2025, showcasing the best visions and projects for the region," Pramod Boro told Business North East (BNE).

Moreover, reports suggest this is a first-of-its-kind initiative in BTR history that aims to unite all 26 communities to script a collective vision. The program highlighted the active participation of all the communities. Development of infrastructure and initiatives to boost the tourism sector were some of the topics discussed during the program.
