Anti-Drugs Day awareness rally conducted at Guwahati Railway Station

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Guwahati Railway Police on June 26 jointly organized an Anti-Drugs Day awareness rally at the Guwahati Railway Station. The campaign aimed to raise public consciousness about the dangers of drug abuse, featuring placards with messages like "say no to drugs."

GRP officer-in-charge Abhisekh Boro emphasized the severe consequences of drug addiction, stating, "Drugs not only destroy an individual, but they also devastate entire families." 

Over the past three months, significant strides have been made in combating drug trafficking. Authorities have arrested 34 peddlers and dealers, seizing substantial quantities of illegal substances including 261 kilograms of ganja, 12 kilograms of opium, 26,000 Yaba tablets, and 978 bottles of cough syrup.
