Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC extends A Balasubramanian's term as MD & CEO for 3 more years

New Delhi: A Balasubramanian has been reappointed as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aditya Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company (ABSLAMC) for a three-year term that will begin on July 25.

Balasubramanian has been connected to ABSLAMC since 1995 and brings with him a wealth of knowledge spanning over thirty years. From 2006 until 2009, he was the Chief Investment Officer before taking on the position of CEO. ABSLAMC currently manages assets valued at more than Rs 3.20 lakh crore, all under his direction.

Balasubramanian has undergone advanced management programs at Harvard Business School and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore. He graduated from GlobalNxt University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Business Administration. 

As the main investment manager for the Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, Sun Life AMC is jointly controlled by Aditya Birla Capital and Sun Life (India) AMC Investments Inc. The organization offers a range of alternative investment techniques in addition to mutual funds, such as real estate investments, portfolio management services, and alternative investment funds.

ABSLAMC's most recent financial report showed a 53.71 percent growth in consolidated net profit to Rs 208.38 crore, driven by a 23.1 per cent increase in operating income to Rs 365.57 crore in Q4 FY24 over Q4 FY23. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company's shares closed marginally higher by 0.07 per cent at Rs 655.75.
