12 special trains for Assam government job candidates

Guwahati: As per reports, the Northeast Frontier Railway launched 12 special trains for managing the rush for the candidates who will appear for the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE) Group III and IV examinations on September 15, 2024. 

Moreover, two more regular trains have extended their services to handle the crowd which is expected to increase because of the examination, as confirmed by the official.

Among the special trains, Train No. 05157 will run from Alipurduar to Guwahati, departing at 17:00 hours on 14th September and reaching Guwahati at 04:55 hours the next day. The return journey, Train No. 05158, will leave Guwahati at 20:00 hours on 15th September, arriving in Alipurduar by 07:30 hours the following morning.
These special and extended services by N.F. Railway are aimed at providing smooth transportation for exam candidates and managing the increased passenger flow during the examination period.

Here is the list of the special trains announced:

1.Train No. 05159 will operate from Alipurduar to Bongaigaon, departing at 18:00 hours on 14th September and arriving at 01:00 hours the next day. The return leg, Train No. 05160, will leave Bongaigaon at 18:00 hours on 15th September and reach Alipurduar by 01:45 hours.

2. For travelers between Mariani and Narangi, Train No. 05161 will depart Mariani at 16:00 hours on 14th September, arriving at Narangi by 04:55 hours the next day. The return train, Train No. 05162, will leave Narangi at 20:25 hours on 15th September, reaching Mariani by 09:00 hours on 16th September.

3. Train No. 05175 will run from Haibargaon to Guwahati, departing at 23:30 hours on 14th September and reaching Guwahati by 04:00 hours the following morning. The return journey, Train No. 05176, will leave Guwahati at 19:05 hours on 15th September, reaching Haibargaon by 23:15 hours the same evening.

4. For passengers traveling between Karimganj and Silchar, Train No. 05179 will depart Karimganj at 20:00 hours on 14th September, arriving in Silchar by 22:30 hours. The return service, Train No. 05180, will leave Silchar at 00:05 hours on 15th September, reaching Karimganj by 02:40 hours. Another train, No. 05181, will depart Karimganj at 04:00 hours on 15th September and reach Silchar by 06:40 hours, with the return leg from Silchar departing at 21:00 hours on the same day and arriving in Karimganj by 23:40 hours.

5. Train No. 05183 will operate between Dibrugarh and Ledo, departing from Dibrugarh at 18:00 hours on 14th and 15th September and arriving in Ledo by 22:00 hours. The return service, Train No. 05184, will leave Ledo at 04:00 hours on 15th and 16th September, reaching Dibrugarh by 08:00 hours.

6. Other services include Train No. 05185 from Jamira to Silchar, leaving at 21:00 hours on 14th and 15th September and reaching Silchar by 00:10 hours. The return train, No. 05186, will depart Silchar at 01:00 hours on 15th and 16th September, arriving in Jamira by 04:00 hours.

7. Several other services will also be available for travelers between Jamira and Silchar, including Train No. 05177, Train No. 05197, and Train No. 05103, offering various departure and arrival times on 14th and 15th September.

8. Train No. 05187 will run between Murkongselek and Kamakhya, leaving Murkongselek at 14:30 hours on 14th September and arriving at Kamakhya by 05:00 hours the next day. The return leg, Train No. 05188, will depart Kamakhya at 19:45 hours on 15th September, reaching Murkongselek by 10:30 hours the following morning.

9. In addition to these special trains, two regular trains will see their routes extended to handle the increased number of passengers. Train No. 15703/15704 (New Jalpaiguri – Bongaigaon Express) will extend its route to Kamakhya, departing Bongaigaon at 17:10 hours on 14th and 15th September and reaching Kamakhya by 22:00 hours. The return service will leave Kamakhya at 00:05 hours on 15th and 16th September, arriving in Bongaigaon by 04:30 hours.

10. Similarly, Train No. 05801/05802 (New Bongaigaon – Guwahati Passenger) will be extended up to Kokrajhar, departing New Bongaigaon at 22:30 hours on 14th and 15th September and reaching Kokrajhar by 23:45 hours. The return journey will depart Kokrajhar at 02:00 hours on 15th and 16th September and reach New Bongaigaon by 03:00 hours.
