Chennai: Yotuh Energy Private Limited, a progressive clean technology startup focused on electrifying vehicle refrigeration systems for mid-mile and last-mile cold chain logistics, which was developed at IIT Madras Incubation Cell, has concluded a funding round of Rs 1.53 Crore with the leadership of Campus Angels Network.
Yotuh Energy was established in 2022 by Vivek Mahindrakar, Shaivee Malik, and Dharmik Bapodara, who are alumni of IIT Delhi, stemming from their formula racing team, with the goal of developing sustainable technologies in India. The Ministry of Agriculture, DST, MeitY, Acumen, ACIR (US Embassy to India), IIT Madras Incubation Cell, and Daimler India Commercial Vehicles have provided grants and awards to the company.
Yotuh Energy's electric refrigeration system runs on its own with a Lithium-Ion Battery and includes special adaptive control technology, separate from the car's main engine. Their technology is establishing a fresh market for transporting perishable goods within cities, utilizing Small Commercial Vehicles and Commercial EVs for cold chain logistics.
