Guwahati: The Union Government has disbursed Rs. 1,73,030 crore to state governments as part of tax devolution on January 10, a significant increase from the devolution of Rs. 89,086 crore in December 2024. This increase aims to accelerate capital spending and finance development and welfare-related expenditures.
The amount released is divided into state-wise categories, with Andhra Pradesh receiving 7002.52, Arunachal Pradesh receiving 3040.14, ASAM receiving 5412.38, Bihar receiving 17403.36, Chaitisgarh receiving 5895.13, Goa receiving 667.91, Gujarat receiving 6017.99, Haryana receiving 1891.22, Himachal Pradesh receiving 1436.16, Jharkhand receiving 5722.10, Karnataka receiving 6310.40, Kerala receiving 3330.83, Madhya Pradesh receiving 13582.86, Maharashtra receiving 10930.31, Manipur receiving 1238.90, Meghalayan receiving 1327.13, Mumbai receiving 865.15, Nagaland receiving 984.54, Odisha receiving 7834.80, Punjab receiving 3126.65, Rajasthan receiving 10426.78, Sikkim receiving 673.55, Tamil Nadu receiving 7057.89, Telangana receiving 1235.09, Tripura receiving 1225.04, and Uttar Pradesh receiving 31039.84.
