CESC arm signs pact to set up 686.85 MW wind project

New Delhi: CESC announced Thursday that its subsidiary has agreed with Ecoren Energy India to establish a wind power project with a capacity of up to 686.85 MW. CESC Ltd stated in a filing with the exchange that Ecoren Energy India Pvt Ltd (EEIPL) is not associated with any related party or with its promoter or promoter group.

It has been reported that Purvah Green Power Private Ltd (PGPPL), a subsidiary, has signed a binding term sheet with Ecoren Energy India to establish a wind power project with a capacity of 686.85 MW. The company stated that the project is expected to be authorized within three years, pending the approval of necessary licenses/permits from different authorities. CESC, based in Kolkata, is involved in producing, transmitting, and distributing electricity.
