Beijing: Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has officially launched its flagship 15 series smartphones in India. Equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the lineup includes two models - Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Both devices boast a Leica co-developed camera system for enhanced photography.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra comes with a price tag of Rs 1,09,999, while the Xiaomi 15 starts at Rs 64,999. Pre-orders for both smartphones will open on March 19, with sales commencing on April 3.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra: Key Specifications
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It features a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a 3200x1440 resolution, an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz, and a peak brightness of 3200 nits.
The Chinese variant of the Ultra model houses a 6000mAh battery, whereas the global version comes with a slightly smaller 5410mAh battery, supporting 90W wired and 80W wireless charging.
For photography enthusiasts, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra boasts a Leica-engineered quad-camera setup. It includes a 50MP primary Sony LYT-900 sensor with an f/1.63 aperture, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and a 200MP Samsung HP9 periscope telephoto camera with 4.3x optical zoom. The front features a 32MP selfie camera. All rear cameras support 4K video recording at 60fps, while the primary and periscope cameras can go up to 120fps.
