The Royal Global University hosts successful job fair with top companies and thousands of job seekers

Guwahati: The Royal Global University located in Guwahati hosted a job fair on its campus, which saw more than 3500 job seekers register for the event.

The one day fair was attended by 125 recruiters, some of which were top companies such as Wipro, Reliance Jio, and HDFC Ergo.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Satyam Group of Industries, V. P Singh, was the Chief Guest of the inauguration ceremony.

The event was open to students from various universities across India and Assam, including Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, and Christ University. Each participant was allowed to appear for up to six interview tests to secure a job.

Dr. Sanjay Pratap Singh, the Vice Chancellor of Royal Global University, stated that the university aimed to bring 50-60 companies to the fair and expected around 2000 to 2500 candidates to be selected. He also confirmed that the fair was not limited to Royal Global University students but encouraged all participants from northeast India, especially Assam.

According to Pahi Bhagawati, Senior Manager of the Royal Centre for Corporate Relations, the starting salary packages offered by the recruiters ranged from Rs.20,000 to Rs.25,000 per month. She also noted that 10-15 companies had come from outside the Northeast to participate in the event.
