Railways organises travelogue competition. Here's how to participate

New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) is organizing a competition called "Rail Yatra Vritant Puraskar Yojna 2024" to seek experiences related to rail travel from the general public, including railway employees, and improve railway facilities and promote the use of Hindi. 

The competition aims to award cash prizes and citations, with a first prize of Rs 10,000, a second prize of Rs. 8,000, and a third prize of Rs 6,000. Five consolation awards of Rs 4,000 each will also be awarded, as per an official communique.

Rail travelogues should be in Hindi language and original, with a minimum of 3000 words and a maximum of 3500 words. Participants must declare that no vigilance or discipline and appeal rules cases are pending or contemplated against them and that no criminal cases or punishments are facing them. 

Participants must also declare that their rail travelogue is their original composition and has not been rewarded under any other award scheme.

To participate, Indian citizens must send their entries in duplicate by July 31 to the Assistant Director, Hindi (Training), Room no. 316 - COFMOW Railway office complex, Tilak Bridge, ITO, New Delhi - 110002. Entries received after the last date will not be considered by the Ministry.
