Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses Rozgar Mela by distributing over 51,000 appointment Letters

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke the Rozgar Mela via video conferencing and distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly employed persons across various government departments and officialdoms.

In his address, the Prime Minister commended the appointees, emphasising that today marked the start of new tasks in consolidation the nation's economic framework, boosting internal security, and driving transformative changes in infrastructure and the lives of citizens. He underlined that the genuineness with which the youth release their duties will play a crucial role in India’s journey towards becoming an advanced nation.

"The foundation of any nation's progress lies in its youth. When youth actively join in nation-building, the country involvements rapid growth and establishes its identity globally," PM Modi said.

He stressed that India’s youth are on behalf of their huge option to the world through devotion and novelty, with government initiatives like Skill India, Startup India, and Digital India creating a vibrant platform for chances.

Emphasising India’s digital accomplishments, the Prime Minister noted that platforms such as UPI, ONDC, and GeM are altering the digital economy, putting India as a global leader in real-time digital transactions, thanks mainly to the efforts of its youth.

Referring to this year’s Union Budget, Modi mentioned the statement of the Manufacturing Mission, aimed at indorsing the Make in India initiative and offering opportunities for the youth to produce globally standardized products. "This mission will support millions of MSMEs and small entrepreneurs while opening up new employment avenues nationwide," he stated.

The Prime Minister further pointed out that sectors like the automobile and footwear industries have witnessed record production and exports recently, boosting job creation. He also cited a surge in inland water transport, noting cargo movement has increased from 18 million tons in 2014 to over 145 million tons in 2025, driven by the expansion of National Waterways.

Turning to new opportunities in the entertainment sector, Modi proclaimed that Mumbai will soon host the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, placing the youth at its center. "WAVES offers an unparalleled platform for young innovators in media, gaming, and entertainment to showcase their talent, interact with investors, and explore technologies like AI and XR," he said, adding that the summit would energise India's digital content scenery.

The Prime Minister also celebrated the achievements of India’s women, highlighting their success in fields reaching from bureaucracy to space exploration. "Our daughters are leading the way. In the recent UPSC results, women secured top positions, reflecting their growing influence to nation-building," he noted.

He emphasised the government’s focus on empowering rural women through initiatives like Self-Help Groups, Bima Sakhis, and Drone Didis, with over 90 lakh Self-Help Groups now active across the country.

Concluding his address, Prime Minister Modi expressed confidence that with genuineness, dedication, and novelty, India's youth will fulfill the dreams and ambitions of 140 crore Indians and help realise the dream of a developed and wealthy India.

The 15th Rozgar Mela is being held at 47 locations across the country, in line with the Prime Minister’s pledge to prioritise occupation generation.

The recruits will join various ministries and departments, counting the Ministry of Railways, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Labour and Employment, among others.
