PM Modi Distributes Over 71,000 Appointment Letters At Rozgar Mela

Delhi: More than 71,000 appointment letters were given to newly recruited individuals by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Rozgar Mela in various government departments and organizations. The virtual Rozgar Mela has once again highlighted the government's efforts to bring job opportunities to people.

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal addressed the programme from Guwahati and was present where 335 appointment letters were given out to new recruits in various walks of life, including Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Railways, Oil India Limited (OIL), and public sector banks such as SBI and Canara Bank.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi underlined the need for youth talent to drive the nation's progress. He added that within the last 1.5 years, the government has offered around 10 lakh permanent government jobs, thus creating a new benchmark of transparency and inclusivity in recruitment.

This is the outgoing year of 2024. Thousands of young people see new opportunities for themselves during this time. Initiatives like 'Make in India', 'Startup India', and 'Digital India' have placed the youth at the forefront of India's development journey, PM Modi said, reminding India's rise as the world's fifth-largest economy and its achievement as the third-largest startup ecosystem.

PM Modi tied the employment measures to wider reforms like NEP, an effort to revolutionize India's education system. He underlined measures to eradicate language barriers, increase recruitment quotas in the border regions, and make opportunities available to the downtrodden masses.

PM Modi distributes 71,000 appointment letters, highlighting employment and inclusivity.

The Prime Minister also mentioned major rural initiatives like establishing nearly 9,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Gobar-Dhan Yojana for biogas plants, and storage infrastructure for agricultural produce to create employment and self-employment opportunities in rural India.

He repeated the government's commitment to ensuring the empowerment of women and schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Mudra Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for financial security and new opportunities for women. There, thousands of women received their appointment letters, thus highlighting what the government does for gender inclusiveness.

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal appealed to the newly recruited personnel to work towards nation-building. "Your appointment strengthens our journey toward an Atmanirbhar Bharat and a developed India by 2047," Sonowal said. He also attributed the fast pace of progress in India to the leadership of PM Modi, as opposed to the "six decades of misrule" by previous governments. Sonowal stated that the youth, as "Yuva Shakti," will be instrumental in achieving the vision of "Viksit Bharat.

Rozgar Mela matches with the government's initiative toward economic revival and sustainable development. The program will improve the operational efficiency of departments like Health, Financial Services, and Higher Education as they fill key positions. An enhancement in human resources contributes to the growth of the sectors related to defence, agriculture, and public banking and supports the economy as well.

Additionally, this will improve public trust and efficiency in service delivery through the government's transparency and inclusivity in recruitment.

The Rozgar Mela is organized at 45 locations across the country to induct talent across ministries and departments. It gives youth an opportunity to participate in nation-building and caters to the need for skilled manpower in all sectors.
