New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 32nd International Conference of Agricultural Economists (ICAE) on 3rd August 2024, at around 9.30 AM at the National Agricultural Science Centre (NASC) Complex, New Delhi. The Prime Minister will also address the gathering on this momentous occasion.

The triennial conference, organised by the International Association of Agricultural Economists, will be held from 02 to 07 August 2024. Remarkably, the ICAE is returning to India after a long gap of 65 years.

This year's conference theme, "Transformation Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems," addresses the urgent need for sustainable agriculture amidst global challenges such as climate change, natural resource degradation, rising production costs, and conflicts. The conference will emphasize India's proactive stance in addressing global agricultural challenges and showcase the nation's significant advancements in agricultural research and policy.

ICAE 2024 will provide a platform for young researchers and leading professionals to present their work and engage with global peers. It aims to bolster partnerships between research institutes and universities, influence policymaking on both national and international levels, and highlight India's progress in agriculture, particularly in digital agriculture and sustainable agri-food systems. The conference will witness the participation of approximately 1,000 delegates from around 75 countries.
