New Delhi: According to financial data from business intelligence platform Tofler, PepsiCo India Holdings recorded revenue of Rs 5,954.16 crore and profit of Rs 217.26 crore from operations in April-December 2023. The overall revenue, incorporating additional earnings, amounted to Rs 6,094.70 crore during the nine-month duration.
The company switched its fiscal year from April to March to January to December, so it has released the financial results for three quarters of 2023. It sticks to the calendar year as the financial year starting in January 2024. Over the course of nine months, its sales revenue in the local market reached Rs 5,533.63 crore. Exports added Rs 266.19 crore to the company's overall earnings, and the company is not listed on the stock exchange.
The snacks business, operating brands like Kurkure, Lays, Doritos, and Quaker, generated Rs 4,763.29 crore in revenue. Pepsico India earned Rs 1,036.53 crore in revenue from its beverages business, which includes fizzy drinks and juices under brands like Pepsico, 7up, slice, Tropicana, and Gatorade, for the nine-month period.
Promotional advertising costs totaled Rs 694.52 crore from April to December 2023. A spokesperson from PepsiCo India commented on the outcome, stating that during this 9-month period, the company maintained steady revenue growth despite facing difficult external conditions, compared to the previous 12-month period.
"Our brands continued to experience strong demand due to effective marketing strategies, successful marketplace implementation, and steady emphasis on overall productivity." We are dedicated to expanding in India and will keep investing in our brands and marketplace infrastructure to increase our size while preserving our profit margins in this high-demand market for a long time. In the 2022-23 fiscal year spanning 12 months, PepsiCo India recorded revenue of Rs 8,203.19 crore and a total profit of Rs 267.43 crore. The overall revenue amounted to 8,302.34 crore rupees.
