Kohima: Nagaland's Information & Public Relations (IPR) officers and staff received a two-day skill upgradation training program at the Directorate of Information & Public Relations in Kohima.

The training, attended by several speakers, emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong work ethic, consistency, and commitment to their duties. The training also highlighted the unique position of IPR officers and staff as the first information providers for the people of Nagaland, encouraging effective communication and maintaining transparency during times of crisis.

The training also featured sessions led by joint director Asangla Imsong, who emphasized the importance of reporting during crises and providing accurate information to the public. On the other hand, joint director Simon Teilia emphasized the importance of maintaining positive interpersonal relationships within the IPR department and "treating everyone equally. "

"The successful completion of the training program demonstrates Nagaland's commitment to empowering its IPR officers and ensuring they are well equipped to serve the state's citizens with professionalism", the state government said in a release.
